How to use the wheel

  1. Type or paste your options into the box, one per line. Names, prizes, chores, restaurants, anything.
  2. Press Spin or click the wheel.
  3. The entry under the pointer on the right is the winner.

Tick Remove the winner to draw several winners in a row without repeats, like a raffle or picking the order for presentations.

Is the wheel really random?

Yes. The winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel starts moving, and every entry has exactly the same chance. The animation then lands on that entry. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How many entries can the wheel hold?
As many as you like, but text gets small after about 40 entries. For big lists, the random name picker is easier to read.
Can I give one entry a bigger chance?
Yes. Add it more than once. An entry listed twice has double the chance of winning.
